Candles: Innovative, Creative and Beautiful
Candles are a common feature of the décor of most weddings (and, indeed, other formal events too). Still, although so frequently used and seen, there are still a great variety of ways to make your use of candles innovative, creative and beautiful.
Here are some ideas:
- Line the wedding aisle and other pathways with pretty candle lanterns for a really dreamy feel.
- Put candles into hurricane lamps and frame your dance floor with these. This defines the space in which guests can dance, is safe due to the hurricane lamps, and fits in perfectly with the candle theme.
- Collect different sizes and heights of candles and arrange a group of these in the centre of each table, instead of flowers.
- Ask each of your guests to bring a pretty candle to the wedding. Then, light these and scatter them around the venue.
- Arrange little tea candles on a cake stand to look like an illuminated wedding cake.
- Get the bridesmaids to carry candles down the aisle instead of flowers.
- Give each of your guests a beautiful, personalised candle as a guest favour by which to remember your day. Alternatively, give them the raw ingredients accompanied by instructions on how to make their own candles.
