DIY Crunchies
Crunchies are delicious; plain and simple. They also make fabulous treats for your wedding guests to take home with them, and will work out to be a lot cheaper than some of the more conventional guest favours. By packaging them in gorgeous boxes or unique bags, you will finish them off perfectly.
You will need:
- 180g margarine
- 2 cups oats
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon syrup
- 1 teaspoon Bicarbonate of Soda
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius
- Heat the butter and syrup in a saucepan together until they are melted. Remove from the heat
- Add the Bicarbonate and stir it until the mixture begins to froth
- Add the dry ingredients
- Spread the mixture out evenly on a greased baking tray
- Bake for 20 to 30 minutes
