Never Leaf Me { Invitation Inspiration }
By now you’re probably very much aware of the pantone colour of the year, Greenery, and you’re most likely finding yourself being led towards a wedding made up of simple greens. This, in turn, brings us to leafy wedding invitations – a stunning take on the Greenery theme, and a highly versatile and often cost effective option for your wedding stationery.
For starters, let’s talk natural leaves. Consider drying fresh leaves and using it as decoration on your wedding invitations, or be on the lookout for premade skeleton leaves or stunning bronze coloured autumn leaves. Alternatively use leaves as “stamps” by inking them up or spreading paint across the leaf’s surface, and pressing it down on the card.
As an extra “surprise” element, insert small dried leaves into the actual card, and you can also add a few sequins for extra sparkle!
Another option is to commission an artist or designer to illustrate leaves that are in line with your wedding theme, which in turn could be used as a recurring element across all your wedding stationery. Next time you’re strolling through the neighbourhood, keep an eye out for interesting leaves that could serve as inspiration!
