Jennifer and Daniel’s Modern Celebration

Now that the fantastic wedding season of summer, 2013 has passed, Nicolette Weddings can proudly reflect on some of the beautiful and special celebrations we put together for some happy couples, just a few weeks ago. Jennifer and Daniel’s sophisticated, modern wedding took place on a perfect summer’s day at the luxury Webersburg Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. The photography was done by the talented Nastassja Harvey.

If ever there was a perfect day for a wedding, we were lucky enough to have it on the Saturday that Jennifer and Daniel tied the knot. With not a cloud in the sky, and the bright Cape Town sun out to play, all the guests arrived dressed to the nines and ready for a celebration of note.

The loved-up couple said their “I do”s under a draped, white, cabana during a romantic and intimate ceremony, in the presence of 150 of their friends and family, who had travelled from all corners of the globe just to witness their union. After the confetti was thrown and the pictures were taken, it was time for cocktail hour, where guests were entertained by the smooth sounds of a hip jazz band while enjoying their gourmet canapés and cocktails, followed by a reception and party that would continue into the early hours of the next day.

The décor look and feel that Jennifer and Daniel chose for their special day could be described as clean-cut, with fresh green and white flowers, set on a modern backdrop of crisp-white and dove-grey lines for a simple, yet stylish look. To bring in a touch of romance, we added hundreds of candles and covered the walls in thousands of fairy lights, which added a sense of magic to overall look of the venue.

Almost every part of this wedding was custom made for the occasion. From the custom made, grey and white striped table linens, to the custom grey and white striped dance floor, with a custom grey and white striped photo-booth backdrop to match.

All the stationery for this fabulous event was custom designed by Secret Diary Designs and included über modern, laser cut table numbers, cute little forms for each guest to write marriage tips and advice on for the newlyweds, and each guest’s name printed on special ribbon that elegantly flowed out of each wine glass, designating their seat.

Other fabulous custom made stationery included a beautiful mounted canvass seating chart with the couple’s custom wedding emblem, and signs for the back of the new “Hubby” and “Wifey”s chairs.

Also custom made for this lavish wedding, were the white lamps which hung above the illuminated satellite bar, to match the abundance of white Chinese lanterns, floating in a cloud above the custom dance floor.
